Overview
What Automotive Detailing does
Keeping a car looking its best takes more than an occasional wash, especially with Newcastle's mix of coastal air, dust and daily driving grime. At Winter Car Detailing and Ceramic Coating, we provide automotive detailing that covers your car from the paintwork through to the cabin, working through each stage by hand rather than relying on shortcuts. Every vehicle that comes into our Broadmeadow studio gets assessed individually, so we can tailor the detail to its actual condition instead of running a standard package regardless of need. If your paint needs more attention than a standard detail covers, our [paint correction](/paint-correction) service can be added to lift out swirl marks and light scratches before any protective coating goes on. Call us on 0403 178 494 to book your car in.

The Process
What's included
Here's what's included in our automotive detailing process:
Exterior wash & clay bar treatment
We remove surface contaminants that a standard wash leaves behind, so the paint is genuinely clean before any polishing begins.
Interior vacuum & wipe-down
Seats, carpets, dash and door trims are cleaned thoroughly, leaving the cabin fresh rather than just tidied.
Wheel & tyre detailing
Brake dust and grime get worked out of the wheel faces and tyre walls, finishing with a durable tyre dressing.
Final inspection & hand finish
We check every panel before handover, touching up any spot that needs extra attention.
FAQs
Automotive Detailing, answered
Most daily-driven cars benefit from a full detail every three to six months, depending on how often they're washed and where they're parked. Cars stored outdoors or driven frequently on dusty or coastal roads generally need it more often.
A car wash cleans the surface dirt off a vehicle, while a full detail goes further into the paintwork, wheels, trims and cabin to remove built-up grime a wash alone can't shift. Detailing also typically includes some form of paint decontamination and interior attention.
Basic detailing focuses on cleaning and light polishing, while paint protection such as ceramic coating is usually offered as a separate, add-on service. Combining the two gives longer-lasting results than detailing alone.
